Double, bow mounted motorized retrieval system.
Cost: $680.00 + shipping
This is an all stainless steel bow mounted double reel planer board retrieval unit. The 1 < u.d. mast carrys the 16 guage motor housing at the bottom, with a spreader at the top of the mast that hangs the specially designed pulleys. These pulleys are hung from the spreader bar in a manner that allows angle changes and at the same time reduces the stress at any one point on the Dacron retrieval line, yet deep enough to minimize line jump off the pulleys. There is a line guide above the reels that tends to guide the line to the center of the reel, again to minimize line jump over the reel. Motion holes in the reel and in the pulley allow for a visual check that the reel, pulley and line are in a smooth operation.
The 12 volt gear-motors are the same motors found on many downriggers, with a stainless steel output shaft that is affixed to the reel in a shear pin method. We recommend a 10 amp fuse or reset between the battery and the switch.
The mast is available as adjustable from 44 to 66 inches, or can be ordered with a solid non adjustable mast if it is known what ht. you need.
The units are shipped with a 2-prong round plug for each motor.
